The MP-2B stepless speed-adjustable test grinder and polisher is a double-disc desktop machine suitable for pre-grinding, grinding and polishing of metallographic specimens. The machine can directly obtain a speed between 50-1000 rpm through a frequency converter, making the machine more widely applicable. It is an indispensable device for users to make metallographic specimens. The machine is equipped with a cooling device, which can cool the specimen during pre-grinding to prevent the metallographic structure from being damaged due to overheating of the specimen. The left disc of the machine is a pre-grinding and grinding disc, and the right disc is a polishing disc.
This machine can not only perform light grinding, rough grinding, semi-fine grinding and fine grinding on the specimen, but also perform precision polishing on the specimen. This machine can be operated by two people at the same time, and is an ideal sample preparation equipment for factories, scientific research units and laboratories of colleges and universities.

Note: The grit number of metallographic sandpaper and the speed of grinding and polishing disc should be appropriately selected according to the material of metallographic specimen or the technical requirements of process. When the specimen requirements are general, the fine grinding step can be omitted. When the specimen requirements are high, the grinding step should be appropriately increased.

Note: 1. The type of abrasive used in the polishing agent, the particle size, the grinding and polishing disc speed and the fabric used should be appropriately selected according to the different metallographic sample materials or process technology requirements. Commonly used grinding/polishing consumables are: grinding paste, polishing powder, spray polishing agent and suspension. Abrasives include aluminum oxide, chromium oxide, diamond and silicon oxide.
2. When the sample requirements are higher, the polishing steps should be appropriately increased.
